Meet Vanessa Brantley Newton and Cynthia Levinson, collaborators of The Youngest Marcher, to hear them read selections from their books and tell this story for kids to enjoy. After the reading, teen reporter Maxwell Surprenant from Catching Joy will participate in a discussion for all ages about Vanessa and Cynthia's writing and art, and how they use their work to teach about diversity, equity and youth activism.
Free to attend, but donations of any amount are encouraged to help purchase copies of Vanessa and Cynthia's books for Catching Joy to distribute to local charities.
