Local Authors Melissa Stewart and Susan Edwards Richmond are embarking on a tour of twelve Indie Bookstores over two weekends in December. Melissa Stewart lives in Acton, MA. She has written more than 200 science-themed nonfiction books for children, including the Sibert Medal Honoree Summertime Sleepers: Animals that Estivate. Melissa is a popular speaker at schools and conferences for educators and has 12,000+ followers on Twitter and 4,000+ friends on Facebook.
Susan Edwards Richmond lives in Stow, MA, and is the author of Bird Count, winner of the Parent's Choice Silver Award, the International Literacy Association's Primary Fiction Award, and a Mathical Honor Book. Susan is also an award-winning poet and a preschool teacher at Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm, and is active on Twitter and Facebook.
